Proutist Sarvasamaj Samiti

After centuries of slavery, India gained independence and established political democracy. The goal of political independence should have been economic democracy. However, the country lost its way in the maze of political democracy. Before the arrival of the British, India was a prosperous country, thanks to an agrarian – craft based economy. At first-century Roman historian lamented the gold flowing from the Roman Empire to India. A 19th-century British historian wrote, "Indian textiles dominate London drawing rooms." However, the exploitative system of the British Empire destroyed this agrarian –craft based economy. The land of gold-producing soil became a mass of impoverished citizens. Where the soil produces gold, its sons shiver in rags due to exploitation. Another name for this socio-economic revolution is the Proutist Sarvasamaj Samiti. Its ideal is socio-economic policy. Its working methodology and elections are its strategy. To achieve this objective, the Proutist Sarva Samaj Samiti was established in November 1979.
